COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Two people were taken to the hospital early Wednesday following a crash on I-95 in Colleton County.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Matt Southern, a tractor-trailer overturned in the median which caused a tree to fall in the road.
All lanes were blocked for a short time around 4:30 a.m., with all lanes reopening just after 8:30 a.m.
The truck came to rest 30 feet into a wooded area with the engine landing 60 feet away. The engine also started a woods fie. The driver of the truck was in critical condition when the person was hospitalized.
