BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Deputies have arrested a man for a gun battle that left a man dead and another person injured in Beaufort County.

According to the sheriff’s office, Morgan was also injured in the incident.
The coroner’s office identified the deceased as 26-year-old Medicus Watson of Seabrook. The other man injured in the shooting remains hospitalized.
The investigation began at 1:50 a.m. when authorities responded to a report of gunshot victims at a home on Roberts Lane in Burton. Deputies found one man dead and two other men injured.

A report by the sheriff’s office states that during the dispute, Morgan took out a firearm and, a short time later, there was an exchange of gunfire outside of the shed where the card game was held.
“The exchange of gunfire resulted in the death of Watson, as well as the wounding of the unnamed man (still hospitalized) and Morgan,” BCSO officials said.
After reviewing the case, a magistrate issued warrants for Morgan’s arrest.
“Late today, investigators located and arrested Morgan at a Grays Hill residence,” BCSO officials said."Morgan was transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center and incarcerated without incident. Morgan has yet to receive a bond hearing for the offenses."
