Four people injured following accident involving overturned vehicle in Awendaw

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Four people were injured following a two vehicle accident in the Awendaw area Friday night.
Awendaw-McClellanville Consolidated Fire District officials say the accident was in the area of Highway 17 and Chandler Road with one of the vehicles overturned.
Crews responded at 6:32 p.m. to the incident and reported finding two vehicles with heavy damage and four people with minor to moderate injuries.
The Charleston County Sheriff’s office is investigating the cause of this crash.
One lane of Highway 17 Northbound was shut down as crews worked the scene.
