MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCSC) - Mount Pleasant police have reopened a portion of Mathis Ferry Road temporarily as crews continue work to fix a power box hit by a vehicle Wednesday morning.

Mathis Ferry Road between Hospital Drive and Whipple Road was closed for more than three hours before reopening. Crews will return Wednesday afternoon to for more work.

Berkeley Electric has told the police department that it could be an “extended fix.”
