FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCSC) - Folly Beach city council members have voted against a motion to close their beaches.

Beach access is still restricted between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. through the end of the month.

City leaders say a checkpoint will be set up on the James Island side of Little Oak Island Drive each day.
