Fourth of July parade in Pawleys Island canceled over coronavirus concerns
The Pawleys Island Fourth of July parade has been canceled due to coronavirus concerns.

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WMBF) – The Pawleys Island Fourth of July parade has been canceled due to coronavirus concerns.

“This was an extremely difficult decision. However, the spike of COVID-19 cases and hospital admissions throughout Horry and Georgetown counties over the weekend dictated this decision,” a post on the Pawleys Island Facebook page states.

Officials said Tuesday the cancellation was the “best course of action” with the current data.
