Man arrested for bank robbery, acquitted due to insufficient evidence

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A man arrested for a bank robbery in Charleston has had his charges dropped due to insufficient evidence.

Police say Travis Jerome Simmons was arrested on June 10th 2017, in connection to a robbery of a Wells Fargo located at 4400 Dorchester Road. He was charged with entering a bank with intent to steal, an incident report states.

Simmons has subsequently been released and all charges relating to the incident have been dropped.
