CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston Police Department says they are seeking the public’s help finding the suspect in a shooting downtown.

Officers say they first responded to a shooting in the 100 block of North Romney Street at 11:04 p.m. Monday.

When they arrived, police say they found a man in the parking lot of an apartment complex with one gun shot wound to the right forearm and another one to the right shoulder.

An incident report states the victim was transported to the Medical University of South Carolina, but the suspect is wanted for aggravated assault with a firearm.

This shooting is under investigation by the Charleston Police Department.
