Crews restore power to more than 3,000 customers in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCSC) - Crews have restored power to more than 3,000 customers in Mount Pleasant.

The Tuesday night outage was in the area of the Mount Pleasant Regional Airport. At 12:52 a.m. on Wednesday, Dominion Energy reported there were still 29 customer outages in the area.

At 11:19 p.m. on Tuesday, there were 3,028 customers affected by an outage.

Earlier Tuesday night, crews had restored about 2,000 outages around 10 p.m., however some residents later reported that the power had shut off again and was restored again just after 11 p.m.

Paul Fischer with Dominion Energy said crews had initially responded to an equipment issue on West Canning Drive.
