CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - College of Charleston senior Brevin Galloway was named to the preseason All-CAA 2nd team the league announced on Wednesday.
The Cougars were picked to finish 6th in the conference in the preseason standings that were also released on Wednesday.
College of Charleston graduate senior guard Brevin Galloway (Anderson, S.C.) has been named to the preseason All-Colonial Athletic Association Second Team as voted on by the league’s head coaches, media and sports information directors on Wednesday.
Galloway, who was named to the All-Defensive team in the CAA last season, led the team in steals and was 2nd in scoring and assists.
Graduate senior guard Payton Willis, who transfered from Minnesota in the offseason, was named honorable mention. Last year, he started in 25 games for the Golden Gophers averaging 8.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Willis was the team’s fourth-leading scorer and ranked second on the squad in 3-pointers made (57) and assists (53).
Hofstra was picked as the preseason favorites among the voters with Delaware picked to finish 2nd.
James Madison’s Matt Lewis was chosen as the preseason player of the year.
