BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - South Carolina Highway Patrol says one person has died in a single-vehicle crash in Berkeley County late Friday night.
Troopers say a GMC pickup truck was traveling north on Cainhoy Road at 8:27 p.m. when it ran off the road to the left, attempted to correct itself, and hit several trees.
They say the crash happened near Halidon Hill Lane in the Huger area.
Highway Patrol says the driver was the only one in the vehicle and died at the scene.
Reports say the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
