Crews extinguish fire in building under construction in Johns Island; authorities investigating

JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) - Emergency crews have extinguished a fire in a building under construction in Johns Island Tuesday night.

Firefighters with the Charleston Fire Department responded to the fire on the 100 block of Main Road.

“Fire is under control and units are starting to clear the scene,” CFD officials said.

Investigators with Fire Marshal Division have responded to review the incident.
