NCFD: Crews respond to fire at potato chip plant

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The North Charleston Fire Department says crews have put out a small fire at a potato chip plant.

Reports say a number of firetrucks are on the scene at the Lowcountry Potato Chip facility on Dorchester Road.

The plant is located near where Dorchester Road intersects with I-526.

A fire department spokesperson said the fire was small and is out.
