GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Deputies are searching for the people responsible for stealing a 6-foot fiberglass fish sculpture in Georgetown County.

Officials with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office said the theft happened at the former Lichfield Fish House restaurant on 13060 Ocean Highway.

The sculpture had been displayed on an old blue truck before the restaurant closed in 2019.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office shift supervisor at (843) 546-5102.

“Text information to 847411. In the message box begin by typing GCSOTIP, enter a space, then type your tip and hit send,” GCSO officials say. “It is important that the keyword GCSOTIP be included before the message. When the text message is sent to the GCSOTIP line, your information and contact information are scrubbed from the message that TIP411 sends to the sheriff’s office. This service is completely anonymous.”
