COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC) - The Gamecocks men’s basketball team is back on pause.

The school announced on Thursday night that Saturday’s game at Ole Miss had been postponed due to a combination of positive tests, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the South Carolina basketball program, consistent with Southeastern Conference COVID-19 management requirements.

A make up date hasn’t been set yet.

This will mark the 3rd time in the last month the program has gone on pause. The team first shut things down on December 8th and canceled or postponed five games before finally returning to action in early January.

The Gamecocks picked up a win over Florida A&M last Saturday and Texas A&M on Wednesday before the decision to go back on pause.

They’re next scheduled game is January 12th at home against Tennessee.
