South Carolina reports almost 4,000 new COVID-19 cases, percent-positive near 35%

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC) - The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control Thursday reported 3,935 confirmed and 69 probable new cases of COVID-19 Thursday.

DHEC reported 51 new confirmed deaths and 29 probable deaths.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Carolina since the start of the pandemic to 310,246 and deaths to 5,189, according to data from the agency.

Wednesday’s report included data from 11,500 test results with a percent positive of 34.2%
