CLEMSON, S.C. (WCSC) - Clemson’s men’s basketball team has gone on temporary pause after a positive COVID-19 in the program the school announced on Friday afternoon.

Because of the positive test along with subsequent contact tracing, the Tigers game on Saturday at North Carolina and Tuesday’s game against Syracuse have been postponed. No word yet on when those games will be made up.

The 19th ranked team in the country, Clemson is coming off a win over North Carolina State on Tuesday. Their next scheduled game is a week from Saturday against Virginia.

The news comes just a day after both the South Carolina men’s and women’s teams had to go on pause because of positive tests in their programs.
