ORANGEBURG COUNTY (WCSC) - South Carolina Highway Patrol says one person has died in a three-vehicle crash in Orangeburg County.
State Troopers say a Dodge Charger was traveling south on I-95 near mile marker 92 at approximately 9:47 p.m. Friday, when it struck the back of a Toyota SUV.
The Toyota SUV then ran off the roadway and hit a cable barrier, they say.
Highway Patrol says the Dodge Charger then struck a Chevy SUV and overturned.
They report that the driver of the Dodge Charger was ejected from the vehicle and died from fatal injuries.
Master Trooper Brian Lee says detours were put in place and directed drivers on I-95 southbound to take exit 93 to S.C. 210, to U.S. 176, and then back to I-95.
As of 12:20 a.m., Saturday, all southbound lanes remained blocked.
Highway Patrol says all lanes are now back open.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
