Police seek help finding man wanted in Christmas Day armed robbery

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston Police Department says they are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in an armed robbery that happened Christmas Day.

CPD says the man committed an armed robbery in the area of Nassau Street and Reid Street in downtown Charleston.

The suspect is described as a man between 20 and 40-years-old and officers say he is between 5′4 and 5′8″.

CPD say the suspect is around 180 to 200 lbs. and was wearing a red and orange jacket with hood and jeans at the time of the robbery.

The subject was last seen riding a white/light colored beach cruiser style bicycle, officers say.

CPD asks anyone with information on the identity of this man to please come forward and contact the Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch Center at 843-743-7200 for the on duty CPD Central detective. Additionally people can call CrimeStoppers at 843-554-1111 to remain anonymous.
