Coroner identifies victim in fatal Dorchester County shooting

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Dorchester County Coroner’s Office has identified the person killed in a shooting incident in North Charleston Saturday.

Devonne Mayfield, 29, was killed by gunfire at approximately 2:55 a.m. in a parking lot located on the 4800 block of Ashley Phosphate Road in North Charleston.

Mayfield was pronounced dead at the scene by the Coroner at 5:45 a.m.

The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office and the Dorchester County Coroner’s Office are investigating.
