SC reports almost 4,600 new COVID-19 cases, percent-positive over 30%

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC) - The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control reported 4,576 confirmed and 81 probable new cases of COVID-19 Saturday.

DHEC reported 52 new confirmed deaths and 12 probable deaths.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Carolina since the start of the pandemic to 320,105 and deaths to 5,267, according to data from the agency.

Saturday’s report included data from 15,046 test results with a percent positive of 30.4%.
