Shooting in North Charleston leaves one injured, police investigating

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The North Charleton Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred Saturday night.

At around 8:22 p.m. on Saturday, a North Charleston Police officer was flagged down on the 4400 block of Dorchester Rd. by the victim and witnesses to a shooting.

Police say the incident occurred in the area of the 4100 block of Fellowship Road. The victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso and taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The shooting was reportedly the result of an altercation between numerous women and the victim.
