MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach police are on the scene of a shooting.

Officers were called around 6 p.m. Monday to a home in the 500 block of 34th Avenue North.

MCpl. Tom Vest, with the Myrtle Beach Police Department, said that two people are hurt and have been taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries has not been released.

Vest added that the area has been secured and officers will be on the scene as the investigation continues.
