Police make arrest in North Charleston shooting

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The North Charleston Police Department says they have arrested a woman after a fight between a number of females resulted in a shooting.

Jail records show Tanya Hamilton, 18, has been arrested for three counts attempted murder and one count of possessing of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

The victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso and Deckard says they were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Deputies said the shooting occurred in the area of 4155 Fellowship Road and was the result of an altercation between numerous females and the victim.

Hamilton is being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center and is awaiting bond, Deckard says.
