COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC) - The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control reported 4,673 new COVID-19 cases, but says those numbers still are being effected by an “internal systems issue.”

Wednesday’s report also included 96 probable new cases, 42 confirmed deaths and nine probable deaths.

Those numbers bring the totals to 332,990 confirmed cases in the state, 32,388 probable cases, 5,402 confirmed deaths and 509 probable deaths.

The report included the results of 17,245 individual tests with a percent positive rate of 27.1%.

DHEC’s website states the agency is actively working with their vender to correct the problem and it will update numbers on the county dashboard when corrections are made.
