CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The City of Charleston will meet Thursday morning on new parking for office space along King Street.
Developers of a new office space want to add a parking lot just off King Street.
But developers say the lot, near the corner of Sheppard and King Streets, will be a private lot if plans are approved at Thursday’s Technical Review Committee meeting.
Construction on a five-story, nearly 84,000-square-foot office building at 677 King Street is already underway. The building will feature retail stores and some parking below the office space. But to create additional parking, owners of the space are looking to add a separate, adjacent parking lot at 86 Sheppard Street.
