CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - High pressure will move overhead over the next couple days providing lots of sunshine and warming temperatures. We’ll see a fine Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day evening here across the Lowcountry with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Expect a breezy day with wind gusts 20 to 25 mph this afternoon. The wind will die down tonight and temperatures will plummet. Lows will be in the upper 20s and low 30s inland with mid to upper 30s at the beaches. Sunshine will continue Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures trending a little warmer. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s by Wednesday. A cold front will approach Thursday and Friday bringing an increase in cloud cover and the chance of showers.
