CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The City of Charleston says they will also participate in a COVID-19 memorial that will be occurring concurrently nationwide.

Officials say Charleston City Hall, located at 80 Broad Street, will be illuminated at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to honor the nearly 400,000 American lives lost to the ongoing pandemic.

Additionally, churches throughout the city will toll their bells in memory of the victims of COVID-19 during this national moment of unity, Charleston Director of Communications Jack O’Toole said.
