South Carolina reports 1,993 new COVID-19 cases

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC) - The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control reported 1,993 new cases of COVID-19 in the state on Tuesday.

Tuesday’s report also included 22 probable cases as well as 24 confirmed deaths and 2 new probable deaths.

That brings the totals to 381,812 confirmed cases, 41,855 probable cases, 5,944 confirmed deaths and 634 probable deaths.

Tuesday’s report tallied the results of 9,181 individual test results, of which 21.7% were positive.

As of Tuesday, a total of 4,730,018 million COVID-19 tests have been performed statewide.
