GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Georgetown County Council extended an ordinance requiring face coverings in local businesses through March 9.

The ordinance requires the public to wear face masks at grocery stores, retail stores, pharmacies, and places that prepare and serve food within the county. Employees are also required to wear face masks.

Those exempt from wearing masks are children under the age of 10, those unable due to a health condition, and people who are actively drinking or eating.
