Authorities clear crash with injuries in Charleston Co.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Charleston County Dispatch says crews have been removing debris from a crash in West Ashley.

Authorities say crews were on-scene for hours early Monday morning removing debris from a crash along Highway 61 and Ashley Hall Road.

Charleston Police say two cars were involved in the crash and one of the cars caught fire. The driver was reportedly assisted out of the vehicle by a nearby citizen.

CPD says one driver suffered life-threatening injuries and the other suffered non-life threatening injuries, but both were taken to the Medical University of South Carolina.
