JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) - Authorities are investigating a deadly single-vehicle crash on Johns Island Saturday night.

Charleston County Sheriff’s Capt. Roger Antonio said a vehicle was traveling south on Bohicket Road when it left the roadway and struck a tree.

Bohicket Road was closed near Plowground Road because of the crash, but has since been reopened.

CCSO says the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and died at the scene.

The St. John’s Fire District was also reported on the scene.
