CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) -The Isle of Palms City Council has unanimously voted to cancel their 4th of July celebration this year.

Councilmembers says they spoke with other municipalities about their plans and learned that Sullivan’s Island has canceled their celebration this year as well, and that Folly Beach will likely do the same.

The celebration was canceled last year as well, as COVID-19 cases were on the rise.
