COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC) - Governor Henry McMaster has expanded vaccine eligibility to anyone 16-and-older.
State health officials say people can start scheduling appointments Wednesday.
The announcement of expanded eligibility skips the rest of the phased approach planned by the Department of Health and Environmental Control.
That plan included vaccinating a Phase 1C that would have incorporated people 45-and-up and more essential workers. Instead the Governor has opted to bypass Phase 1C and open vaccine appointments to everyone who would have been eligible in Phase 2.
