CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - We’re cooling down today behind a cold front that brought showers and storms to end our weekend across the Lowcountry. It will be a sunny start to the work week with temperatures about 15° cooler today than on Sunday. Highs will be near 70 degrees. Temps will begin warming back up tomorrow with mid 70s on Tuesday, and low 80s by Wednesday. There will be a slight chance of a shower Tuesday with an increasing rain chance ahead of a cold front on Wednesday. That front will push through the area early Thursday morning leading to a bigger drop in temperatures for the second half of the work week. Highs will only be in the upper 50s by Friday. HEADS UP if you have planted flowers/vegetables. Cold sensitive vegetation may need covering on Friday and Saturday mornings. Frost is a possibility inland where temperatures may drop into the mid 30s. Coastal areas should stay in the upper 30s and low 40s, lowering the risk of frost. Temps will start to warm up over Easter weekend with highs in the low to mid 70s with a sunny sky for Easter Sunday.
