HOLLYWOOD, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office says they are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital.
Deputies say they responded to a local hospital shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday in reference to calls about a man with a gunshot wound in his foot.
Incident reports state the man was at a family cookout near the area of Highway 165 and Highway 162 when he heard gunshots and was hit fleeing towards his car.
After going home and observing his injury, deputies say the man went to a hospital for treatment.
Deputies say the wound was non-life threatening.
CCSO says this is an active investigation and they are asking anyone with information to call the sheriff’s office at 843-202-1700.
