CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A weak disturbance will slide through the area today bringing an increase in clouds and a few showers. Otherwise, the sky will be partly to mostly cloudy with highs near 70 degrees. We’ll be mainly dry tonight and most of the day on Wednesday in advance of a cold front that will bring a round of showers, and perhaps a few storms, Wednesday night. It will be warmer Wednesday with more sunshine and a southerly wind in place. Highs will reach 80 degrees for most folks. The cold front will then move offshore early Thursday morning, ending the rain chance and ushering in cooler temperatures. Sunshine will dominate our weather for the rest of the week but the big story will be the temperatures. Highs on Thursday will be in the low to mid 60s, with upper 50s for highs on Friday. We have two cold mornings that will need to be watched for areas of frost. Temperatures will bottom out in the 30s inland, low 40s at the beaches on both Friday and Saturday morning. It will be a beautiful Easter weekend with highs climbing into the 70s on Easter Sunday.
