NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The North Charleston Police Department says they have been assessing racial bias within the department for almost a year.

The NCPD says an audit team has been gathering information and now they want community input about policies, practices and procedures.

Information will be collected independently of the NCPD by a company called CNA.

CNA was also the company hired to racially audit the Charleston Police Department.

Police will be hosting a virtual listening session where they will be inviting the community to participate.

These meetings will be held virtually via Zoom from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 6 and April 7.

Register for the April 6 session.
