AWENDAW, S.C. (WCSC) - The Awendaw-McClellanville Fire District says their crews have cleared an Awendaw house fire.

Firefighters say the fire broke out in the 5200 block of Sewee Road and they had to check the area for extending fires. They say all occupants were out of the building and The Red Cross has contacted the residents.

There has not been any report of injuries relating to the fire.

The AMFD says the fire is under investigation.
