CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - All lanes of the North Bridge have reopened after a deadly crash involving a bicyclist who was struck by a truck.
Police responded shortly before 11:40 a.m. to Cosgrove Avenue on the North Bridge.
North Charleston Deputy Police Chief Scott Deckard said the bicyclist died from injuries suffered in the crash. As a result, the lanes entering North Charleston were shut down for approximately 90 minutes while authorities investigated the crash scene.
Charleston Police are assisting with traffic control.
The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the cyclist.
