Coroner identifies man killed in early-morning crash on Johns Island

JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) - Authorities have identified a man who was killed in an early Tuesday morning crash on Johns Island.
The Charleston County Coroner said 36-year-old Sean Campbell of Charleston died in the crash that happened at 3:18 a.m. on River Road.
The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
Capt. Roger Antonio with the sheriff’s office said the single-vehicle crash happened at approximately 3:20 a.m. in the 2700 block of River Road near the Charleston Executive Airport.
A vehicle traveling south on River Road left the roadway and hit a tree. The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, died at the scene.
