CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston Police Department has arrested a suspect wanted for a shooting at a gentlemen’s club that killed one man and injured another this past weekend.

Authorities announced the arrest of 38-year-old Melshaun Antwan Robinson of Charleston who has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Robinson was locked up at the Al Cannon Detention Center.

His arrest stems from an investigation at 8:24 p.m. on Sunday when officers responded to the King Street Cabaret on 1337 King Street Extension for a shooting that just happened.

When officers arrived on the scene they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

“One man was pronounced deceased at the scene and the other man was transported by paramedics to a local hospital,” CPD officials said.
