NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Police officers are investigating after a shooting damaged several vehicles and apartments in North Charleston Thursday afternoon.

North Charleston police officials said at 12:25 p.m. officers responded to the 7900 block of St. Ives Rd. to a report of shots fired.

“Upon arrival, officers found that several vehicles and apartments were struck by gunfire,” NCPD officials said.

According to a report, witnesses said there was a disturbance between two groups of people before the shots were fired.

“Several individuals were contacted and questioned about the incident,” police said. “At this point, there is no report of injuries.”

Police are continuing the investigation.
