Troopers: 2 killed in 3 vehicle crash in Williamsburg Co.

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol says two people were killed in an afternoon collision on Sunday.

According to Master Trooper Brian Lee, a driver in a Nissan truck was travelling north on Highway 41 and failed to yield the right of way to two motorcycles travelling south while attempting a turn onto Piney Forest Road. The incident occurred at 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Troopers say both motorcycles were struck by the truck and the drivers of the motorcycles were ejected and killed. Authorities say both motorcycle drivers were wearing helmets and the driver of the truck was wearing a seatbelt.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
