DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (Gray News) - An Amber Alert issued for two kids out of Deerfield Beach, Florida, has been canceled after they were found safe.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office says that 6-year-old Zain and 5-year-old Zaynah Obidy are now safe in law enforcement custody. They are in good condition.

An Amber Alert was issued for the siblings Saturday after they were last seen Friday night. The sheriff’s office believed they had been abducted by 36-year-old Max Carias-Carrilo following an aggravated battery incident involving an adult female victim.

Investigators are still searching for Carias-Carrilo. It’s unclear what, if any, charges he may face.

He is described as being 5 feet and 8 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds with brown eyes. He has a very thick beard but no mustache and is said to be bald.

Deputies earlier reported he may be traveling in a 2011 black BMW 535 with the Florida license plate number PJH1B.

Anyone with information on Carias-Carrilo’s whereabouts is urged to contact BSO or CrimeStoppers.
