THE LIST: Lowcountry schools, districts announce switches to virtual learning

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - As the number of new COVID-19 cases continues to rise across South Carolina, several Lowcountry school districts are adjusting their schedules temporarily to virtual learning.

Here is a list of Lowcountry school districts and individual schools that have made the switch to virtual learning models and the expected day or date on which they will return to in-person instruction.

Beaufort County School District

All schools are conducting in-person learning.

Berkeley County School District

All schools are conducting in-person learning.

Charleston County School District

  • C.E. Williams Middle School’s North Campus (6th grade) is on virtual learning through Oct. 7.

Colleton County School District

All schools are conducting in-person learning.

Dorchester District 2

All schools are conducting in-person learning.

Dorchester District 4

All schools are conducting in-person learning.

Georgetown County School District

All schools are back in in-person learning.

Williamsburg County School District

All schools are back in in-person learning.

Trident Technical College

  • Lecture and hybrid classes that do not have required hands-on components are moved to a scheduled online meeting format through Oct. 19. Trident Tech provided a list of those classes on its website.
