Rivers Avenue reopens after early-morning crash
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The westbound lanes of Rivers Avenue near the twin bridges have reopened, North Charleston Police have confirmed.
Police said that the lanes reopened at 8:43 a.m., more than two hours after the lanes were shut down by the crash.
There has still been no official word on injuries or details about the crash itself.
During the shutdown, police said they were rerouting traffic to ease a backup of at least a mile behind the crash scene.
