17-year-old killed in Georgetown Co. shooting identified
The Georgetown County Coroner’s Office released the name of the teen who died in a Tuesday shooting.

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCSC) - The Georgetown County Coroner’s Office released the name of the teen who died in a Tuesday shooting.
Jaydyn Woodward, 17, of Georgetown, died at a hospital, according to Coroner Chase Ridgeway.
Georgetown Police were called to 310 Alex Alford Dr. for reports of gunshots in the area around 7 p.m. Police say they found a 17-year-old lying in the driveway suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officials have not yet said what led up to the shooting.
The victim was taken to Georgetown Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead by medical staff. Woodward’s autopsy was performed on Wednesday at MUSC, Ridgeway says.
So far, no arrests have been announced in the case.
