Crews respond to structure fire on James Island
Officials are responding to a structure fire on James Island Tuesday night.

JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) - Officials are responding to a structure fire on James Island Tuesday night.
Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office are assisting fire crews with the James Island Public Service District with a fire on Wild Wing Lane, sheriff’s office spokesman Andrew Knapp said.
First responders were called to the fire around 9:21 p.m., Deputy Chief Shawn Engelman said. A person inside the home was able to make it out safely before they arrived on scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
