25-year-old man identified as victim of Ridgeville shooting

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the man who died in a Tuesday night shooting.

Tyreek Tucker, 25, of Ridgeville, died from injuries sustained in the shooting, Berkeley County Coroner Darnell Hartwell said.

Deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Earthas Way in the Ridgeville area just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday after dispatch received multiple calls about hearing gunshots.

Arriving deputies located Tucker, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cpl. Carli Drayton said the shooting is being investigated as a homicide.
